Remembering the sacrifice of freedom with Korean war veterans and Jewish veterans

During the event, Chairman Mun Kyung-hwan of the Korean Society said in a speech, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us today. In particular, the courage and dedication of all veterans who gave their lives for freedom will never be forgotten. At the time of the Korean War, the prosperity of the Republic of Korea today would not be possible without their sacrifices. We have a responsibility to not forget that debt and pass on their stories to the next generation,” he said.
Chairman Moon continued, “Today, the friendship and cooperation between Korea and the United States is being strengthened based on these sacrifices. Today's event with Jewish veterans and Korean veterans once again makes people with different backgrounds feel the historical significance of protecting freedom and peace in unison,” he emphasized the importance of this event.

At the beginning of the event, the Korean national anthem and the nation of the United States echoed, and all the attendees stood firm. Afterwards, wreaths and silence honoring the achievements of the veterans continued, and attendees had time to share their experiences and post-war lives.
