On May 27, a commemorative event was held at the Korean War Veterans Memorial (Korean War Veterans Memorial) in Overland Park on the Memorial Day. At the event that began at 10 a.m. on this day, about 100 people gathered to celebrate Memorial Day with Korean War veterans and Jewish veterans in Kansas.
As we remember of the Korean War 74 years ago, We can see the number of veterans is shrinking every year. It was emphasized that efforts are needed to remember their sacrifices and devotion and pass on history to the next generation.
More than just a memorial, this memorial service is an important place to pass on our history and culture to future generations.
Also, on June 25 at 12:00 p.m., we will invite Korean War veterans and their families at Cinzetti to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the Korean War and arrange a place to thank them for their hard work. This event is for those invited only, but anyone who wish to attend should contact the Korean Society.
