3rd Walk a Thon with K-Pop, a significant fundraising event

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the Walk a Thon with K-Pop event.

I had a great time at the 3rd Walk a Thon with K-Pop, which was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, starting with prayers from Deputy Pastor An Byeong-kwon of Antioch Nazarene Church at Lexington Lake Park in De Soto. This event was held as part of raising funds for the 2nd National Paralympic Games to be held in Maryland in June and the purchase of the Kansas Korean Society building.

It was an even more enjoyable time for those who attended Walk a Thon as an event that combined the K-Pop Dance Team, Gochew Food Truck, and a treasure hunt. I was a little worried that it might rain, but I am grateful to God for allowing pleasant weather until the end of the event. Also, although the number of participants was not as expected, everyone who participated in the event showed off their physical strength by doing 5k Run, 10k Run, and 5k Walking. In particular, the surrounding Americans were interested in the event and attended. Among them, a 68-year-old American male named Jose received a gold medal for each age in the 10k Run event. Also, my wife received a silver medal in the 5k Walk section. Danbi Disabled Athletes belonging to the Disabled Sports Association received a silver medal at 5k Run. Jackson (17), a young American with the fastest and best performance, received an overall gold medal with a 10k run. Lee Young is currently working as a Junior Boxer and his funeral is in full swing.

In particular, everyone helped with donations, participation, and VENMO for this Walk a Thon event. Thank you very much. Also, the executives of the Kansas Disabled People's Association and the members of the Kansas Korean Society worked hard to host the event. We will do our best to prepare better for the 4th time next year so that more people can enjoy the event.

Thank you
