On Sunday, January 28, the Lunar New Year Festival was held at the Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City. The Korean American Association attended the event for the second time this year after last year, and Asian countries such as Korea and China
An event was held to promote a unique and wonderful performance. It has become a popular year-round festival that many people in the community have been waiting for. About 6000 people visited without fail this year.
Following last year, many people participated this year, making the event even brighter.
For this event, the Kansas City Korean Society joined forces with Korean schools to promote Korean culture. Two K-POP teams, an object play team from the Chicago Cultural Center and participated in this festival, which participated in the Korean cultural performance event.
The K-POP performance was performed by 2 male and female teams, and the 2 K-POP teams and Thamul Play performed as popular as both.
In particular, many people were enthusiastic when the Thamulyu team's performance began. It conveyed the unique sound of Korea and performed 2 times with exciting music.
Many people fell in love with the traditional Korean performance with their lanterns without leaving their seats, and they watched the performance hoping that this year would be a great year.
At this event, Chairman Mun Kyung-hwan, Chairman of the Korean Society Kim Sung-bae, and Senior Vice Chairman Lee Joo Hyun took good care of and guided the event team from beginning to end so that all events could be held well.
It was a great opportunity to promote Korean culture and the country called Korea in Kansas City, and many people became more and more interested in Asian culture
