On Sunday, February 25, the Kansas Missionary Church hosted a Independence Movement Day service and a 105th anniversary three-day ceremony hosted by a member of Kansas City.
The memorial service began with time of praise and worship with Missionary Kim Kyu-soo's guitar accompaniment and Mrs. Kim Shin-hye's piano accompaniment. Pastor Yoon Bo-ho led Mukdo, and Elder Kim Yeol-yeong prayed.
Pastor Yoon Bo-ho gave a sermon on the theme “God Hears Israel's Cry,” and they all sang together.
Then, the 105th anniversary three-day festival ceremony began with the ceremony of Lee Ju-hyeon, Vice Chairman of the Kansas City Korean Society, and together, Vice Chairman Lee Ju-hyeon shared an article from the Consul General of Chicago on the National Rite, the commemoration of the Sun-kuk election and the spirit of the nation, praising the national anthem, and conveying to Korean compatriots at the 3.1 section event.
Chairman Dokgo Young-sik of the Kansas Evergreen Association read the Declaration of Independence and sang the 3.1 song together.
Korean Chairman Mun Kyung-hwan gave a memorial address for section 3.1, and then selected excellent works from the works prepared as a 3.1 project by Kansas City Korean School students that took place during February to 10 students
Section 3.1 Excellence Awards and prizes were awarded.
The Kansas City Korean Society asked for the continued interest and contributions of Korean Koreans in order to establish a successful Kansas Korean American Center in 2026. This was followed by Manse Samchang as Lee Ju-chan's adviser,
The 105th three-day ceremony came to an end, and everyone had a refreshment time together.
